Life Lessons

Several years ago when Beth’s daughter Madeline was young, I started a list of things to share with her known as “Aunt Beck’s Lessons for Life”. Some of them were serious, some were funny, and a few did NOT meet with her mother’s approval. Now that she is in college, I have fewer life lessons to share but Beth and I did learn one more during the past month. Namely, let’s not release a new pattern while I am on an extended overseas business trip.

The response to our new sampler release, Isabella Keen, has been overwhelming and I am grateful to Beth for handling all of the shop emails while I was out of town. As of now, all orders have been shipped to shops and I hope, if you requested a copy of the pattern for Isabella’s beautiful sampler, that you have received it and love it. If you haven’t had a chance to request your copy, please reach out to your favorite LNS or ONS to order your copy so we can get it to you by Christmas. As a reminder, part of our mission is to support needlework shops so please request your pattern through them and ask them to email us with their orders.

I’m writing this post from our parents’ home in Montana where I have joined them for Thanksgiving. While my turkey is in the oven, it gives me the opportunity to reflect on the past year and all that has happened with My Sister’s Samplers. We have been so pleased and honored by the response to our sampler reproductions and we are very grateful for all of you who have purchased our patterns and stitched our designs. We are hard at work on finalizing our releases for the 2024 Nashville Market and are looking forward to sharing them with all of you in February.

For now, please accept my heartfelt thanks for your support and let me wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and a joyful holiday season (which will hopefully include stitching on Isabella Keen). As we enter our second year of My Sister’s Samplers, I’m sure there will be several more Life Lessons to be learned.

Wishing you the best in stitching,

Rebecca
